We are almost there! We had a fantastic last regular season meet this past Friday. We had two swimmers qualify for state events. Congratulations to Noah Webb for qualifying in the 50 Freestyle (23.24), and to Sheppard Finley for qualifying in the 100 Breaststroke (1:06.09)!

Congratulations to the state team who will be representing Centennial at the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) State Swim & Dive Championship on February 4 – 5! These swimmers will continue to have practice until the state meet (see below for details on events and practice).

I hope everyone watched the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship game! No.1 Indiana came out victorious over No.10 Miami to finish the season at a perfect 16-0. Thank you to everyone who sold squares for our fundraiser! It was very successful raising $1,640 for our team. Congratulations to Noah Webb who was the first swimmer to sell 4 squares! And congratulations to Anna Stiers who sold the most squares at 19! Noah and Anna will receive their gift cards during our end-of-season banquet.

WINTER SPORTS SENIOR RECOGNITION (Tuesday, January 27)

• Centennial will celebrate Senior Night for winter sports on Tuesday, January 27 in between the girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball games.
  • Seniors and family members should be ready to line up at 6:45pm (Q4 of the girls’ game)
  • Recognition will begin ~ 7:00pm
• All swimmers are encouraged to attend and support our fantastic senior swimmers!

• Our end-of-season banquet will take place at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Wednesday, February 11

• We have to use TeamSnap for payment, which is not very user friendly, hence the 3 payment links. Here are the steps you should see:
  • When you click on the payment link, you will be asked to log in to TeamSnap or create an account if you don’t have one
  • Click on the blue ‘Register’ button on the Registration Details page
  • Click on one of the people you need to pay for (DO NOT PAY FOR SWIMMERS)
  • You should see a page with the total number of people and amount you are paying (1 person for $25, 2 people for $50, 3 people for $75)
  • Click on the rectangle with the payment amount, then click on the blue ‘Next’ button
  • Fill in any missing information on the Participant Confirmation, then click on the blue ‘Add to Cart’ button
  • Review your selections and click on the blue ‘Check Out’ button
  • Fill in your payment information and click on the blue ‘Submit and Pay’ button

• Dinner: We will be catering BBQ from JR’s Loghouse BBQ. If you need a gluten free meal, contact Amanda Seymour ([email protected]) asap.
• You will need to return parkas (wash in cold water, line dry, hang on a hanger and cover with a dry clean bag or something similar) and fins (rinse) at the banquet! You will collect your parka deposit check when you turn in the parka.
