Greetings Swimmers and Parents,

We had a great pasta dinner/holiday party on Friday night! Thanks to all of the families who contributed to the menu. We also had a great meet at the Cherokee County Aquatic Center!

The deadline to sign up for the last meet in December, the Region Championship Meet at Westminster, is TONIGHT!

Practice information for winter break will be communicated soon!

We are continuing our Honey Baked Ham Co. fundraiser through New Year’s! 20% of every sale will come to our team (see below for details).

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Meet Attendance: If you signed up to participate in a meet, attend the meet. The team pays entry fees per athlete participating per meet. In addition, the relay teams will have to be reworked last minute and that has ripple effects to the other scheduled relay teams and may leave teammates without a relay to swim. If you are unexpectedly ill, contact Coach Salazar as soon as possible at [email protected].
  • Bus travel on meet days: On swim meet days, the expectation is that all athletes will ride the bus to and from the swim meet. If a parent wants to drive their child, while discouraged, they may submit a written request at least 24 hours prior to the event to Coach Salazar at [email protected].
  • Attire on meet days: Athletes should wear their team t-shirts and warm-ups on meet days, along with their team swimsuit or plain black swimsuit and CHS swim cap.

REGION SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP MEET (Saturday, December 20)

  • Sign-up for this meet is open until Monday, December 15
  • Bus departs from Centennial: TBD (likely ~ 7:00am)
  • Warm-ups: 8:00am (waiting for exact time from meet host)
  • Prelims start time: 9:30am
  • Finals start time: 4:00pm
  • Location: The Westminster Schools, 1424 W. Paces Ferry Road, NW, Atlanta, GA 30327
  • Timing volunteers are needed for this meet: 4 for prelims and 4 for finals
  • Notes:
    • All swimmers can participate in the preliminaries
    • Swimmers who make the needed placements during preliminaries will swim in the finals
    • The bus will transport the team to a nearby shopping center in between the prelims and finals for lunch
    • The bus will transport the team back to CHS after the finals
    • If your swimmer does not make the finals and you would like to pick them up from Westminster after the prelims, you must notify Coach Salazar

CENTENNIAL vs NORTHVIEW MEET (Saturday, January 10)

  • Bus departs from Centennial: TBD
  • Warm-ups: TBD
  • Meet start time: 3:30pm
  • Location: Dynamo, 5075 Abbotts Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA 30097

  • Note: We will have a special recognition ceremony for our seniors during this meet. More info to come!

2026 FULTON COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP MEET (Thursday, January 15)

  • Bus departs from Centennial: TBD
  • Warm-ups start time: 3:45pm
  • Meet start time: 4:40pm
  • Location: West Gwinnett Park & Aquatic Center, 4488 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Norcross, GA 30071
  • Timing volunteers needed - 2 for the 1st half and 2 for the 2nd half of the meet
    • Shift 1: meeting at 4:00pm, timing from 4:30pm- 6:30pm
    • Shift 2: meeting at 6:00pm, timing from 6:30pm-8:30pm
  • Note, a spectator fee of $15 will be charged at this meet
