We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and are now ready to tackle December! We have a busy month ahead with three meets and two pasta dinner parties, so it is critical that all swimmers declare their attendance for the meets and the pasta dinners. All three meets and both pasta dinners are open in SwimTopia so please indicate your attendance and sign up to contribute to the pasta dinners.

We are having a SPIRIT WEAR FLASH SALE this Wednesday, December 3 at 7:30pm at Swim Atlanta! Come get your CHS Swim Team gear just in time for the holidays! See below for details.

We are continuing our Honey Baked Ham Co. fundraiser through New Year’s! 20% of every sale will come to our team (see below for details).

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Meet Attendance: If you signed up to participate in a meet, attend the meet. The team pays entry fees per athlete participating per meet. In addition, the relay teams will have to be reworked last minute and that has ripple effects to the other scheduled relay teams and may leave teammates without a relay to swim. If you are unexpectedly ill, contact Coach Salazar as soon as possible at [email protected].
• Bus travel on meet days: On swim meet days, the expectation is that all athletes will ride the bus to and from the swim meet. If a parent wants to drive their child, while discouraged, they may submit a written request at least 24 hours prior to the event to Coach Salazar at [email protected].
• Attire on meet days: Athletes should wear their team t-shirts and warm-ups on meet days, along with their team swimsuit or plain black swimsuit and CHS swim cap.

SPIRIT WEAR FLASH SALE (Wednesday, December 3)

• Just in time for holiday gift-giving, purchase your Centennial Swim Team spirit wear this Wednesday, December 3!
• Pre-order hoodies and pajama pants and receive in time for the holidays!
• Car magnets, silicone caps, water bottles, blankets, drawstring bags and a few t-shirts (size small) will be available on site

• Sign-up for this meet is open until Wednesday, December 3 at noon
• Bus departs from Centennial: TBD (wear team t-shirt and/or warm-up top)
• Warm-ups: 1:45pm
• Meet start time: 2:30pm

HOLIDAY PASTA DINNER PARTY (Friday, December 12)

• This is an annual holiday celebration for the athletes. Tradition includes a white elephant gift game. If you are planning to participate, bring a wrapped fun gift valued at $15-$20.
• Wear your silliest holiday attire!
• Remember to RSVP on SwimTopia and sign up to contribute to the dinner
• Location/Time: the Chaidez home (1695 Branch Valley Drive, Roswell) at 6:30pm

HOLIDAY EAGLE INVITATIONAL (Saturday, December 13)

• Sign-up for this meet is open until Tuesday, December 9
• Bus departs from Centennial: TBD (wear team t-shirt and/or warm-up top)
• Warm-ups: 12:20pm
• Meet start time: 1:00pm
• Location: Cherokee County Aquatic Center, 1200 Wellstar Way, Canton, GA 30114

REGION SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP MEET (Saturday, December 20)

• Sign-up for this meet is open until Monday, December 15
• Bus departs from Centennial: TBD (wear team t-shirt and/or warm-up top)
• Warm-ups: 8:00am (exact time to be given the week before the meet)
• Prelims start time: 9:30am
• Finals start time: 4:00pm
• Location: The Westminster Schools, 1424 W. Paces Ferry Road, NW, Atlanta, GA 30327
• Timing volunteers are needed for this meet: 4 for prelims and 4 for finals

FULTON COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING TIMES

• Swimmers must meet these qualifying times to participate in the Fulton County Championship in January
• We are working on the list of swimmers who have already qualified for county

GHSA STATE FINALS QUALIFYING TIMES
