Swimmers, diver and parents,

Just a few reminders and notes in advance of the Region 6A meet this Saturday. Note, not all swimmers that swim in the morning prelims will swim in the afternoon finals so please read thoroughly so you don't miss anything!

TIMING

• Bus departs from Centennial: 7:00am, yes 7:00 AM (wear team gear)
• Warm-ups start: 8:00am
• Prelims start time: 9:30am
• Lunch at a nearby shopping center: after prelims ~ 12:30pm
• Finals start time: 4:00pm

OPTIONS

Swimmers only swim in the finals if they make the cut off during prelims. If your swimmer does not make the finals, they have 2 choices:

• Stay with the team through the finals and cheer everyone on! Swimmers staying the whole day will be driven over to a nearby shopping center to eat lunch after prelims (shopping center where OK Cafe is located - 1284 W. Paces Ferry Rd). Please bring money to pay for your lunch. The bus will drop off all swimmers at CHS after the finals.
• Get picked up from Westminster after prelims. If swimmers do not make the cutoff time for finals, and they would like to leave the meet after prelims, a parent must send an email to Coach Salazar before the meet stating that they will be picking up their swimmer after prelims if they do not make the finals ([email protected]).

LOCATION

• The Westminster Schools, 1424 W. Paces Ferry Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30327 (front of school) OR 1550 West Wesley Road, Atlanta, GA 30327 (back gate address)

  • Spectators can park below the Turner Gym drop-off parking lot or the Kent Field lot, which is a short walk to the pool (there is also a parking deck but it is a longer walk)
  • Go to the front of the building to enter by the wildcat statue. The spectator section is on this level.

VOLUNTEERING

• We are still in need of two more timers for the morning preliminaries!
• If your swimmer swims in the finals in the afternoon, we will also need timing volunteers in the afternoon session.
• Snacks/drinks are also still needed!
