Greetings Team and Parents,

We have another big
week – our first team pasta party and our first real meet! Make sure that all
swimmers/divers RSVP for the fun Friday night team pasta party at Coach Salazar’s
house. Please sign up to take
food or drinks to the pasta party. There are still remaining items to sign up
for! This is followed by our North Forsyth Swim & Dive Meet this Saturday,
November 2. We are still in need of 3 more timers for this meet so please
consider timing and sign up on SwimTopia. No experience necessary!

Please note that if you sign up to swim for a
meet, and do not show up, this cause issues for the entire team. If you have an
emergency and are unable to make the meet, contact Coach Salazar immediately at
[email protected].

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Bus travel on meet days:
  On swim meet days, the expectation is that all athletes will ride the bus to
  and from the swim meet. If a parent wants to drive their child, while
  discouraged, they may submit a written request at least 24 hours prior to the
  event to Coach Salazar at [email protected].
• Attire on meet
  days: Athletes should wear their team t-shirts
  and warm-ups on meet days, along with their team swimsuit. (New swimmers to the
  team will not get their warm-ups until after November 7. All swimmers should
  have their team t-shirt.)
• Volunteer
  requirements: We ask that each family volunteer
  a minimum of 5 times over the season. This can be timing or other jobs during the
  meets, or it can be donating snacks or drinks for a meet, or it can be
  providing part of the meal for the team pasta dinners. All of these opportunities
  to volunteer can be found in SwimTopia by clicking the green ‘JOB SIGNUP’
  button next to each entry for a meet or pasta dinner.
  • You can start by volunteering to be
    a timer for this Saturday’s meet. No experience necessary!
  • You can also sign up for your
    athlete to take part of the meal to this Friday’s team pasta dinner.

NORTH FORSYTH SWIM + DIVE MEET
(Saturday, November 2)

• Bus departs from Centennial: 10:00am (wear

• Warm-ups: 11:30am-12:30pm
• Timers’ meeting: 12:30pm
• Swim meet start time: 12:45pm
• Dive meet start time: 3:45pm
• Location: Cumming Aquatic Center, 201 Aquatic Circle, Cumming
• Timers and snacks needed! Sign up using the green ‘JOB SIGNUP’
  button next to the meet information. If you sign up for snacks, please send

MCCALLIE INVITATIONAL (TRAVEL
MEET, November 22-23)

• Deadline to sign up is
  Friday, November 8. The numbers of attendees is capped at 26 so registration is

• This is an optional travel
  meet open to all swimmers and divers. There is an additional fee of $300 to
  cover a chartered bus, hotel, and most meals.
• The team will leave from
  CHS the afternoon of Friday, November 22 and will return to the CHS parking lot
  late night Saturday, November 23.
• This meet is a tradition
  for CHS Swim and a great experience that all of the athletes really enjoy!

SNORKELS, SPIRIT WEAR

• Snorkels have arrived and were distributed to swimmers
  last week during practice.
• Team t-shirts and swim caps have arrived and
  were distributed to swimmers during the Black & Blue Time Trial Meet.
• Warm-ups and towels should arrive by November 7
  and will be distributed ASAP.
