Greetings Team and Parents,

Good luck to all our Swimmers and Divers at State this week! We look forward to celebrating the season with all of you at the Swim & Dive Banquet Thursday, February 8^th @ 6:30.

Below is IMPORTANT information about State. Please make sure to read!

GHSA STATE MEET

Congratulations to the following athletes who will represent Centennial at the State Meet:

Athletes should wear the Team Warm-Ups to the Meet. Info for Swim and Dive are listed separately below. Additional information available on the State Meet Website

• TICKETS: All tickets must be bought through GoFan. $15. GHSA (Georgia) Events and Tickets by GoFan * Tickets for Prelims and Finals are separate.

Tuesday: DIVE ONLY

7-8:30 a.m. Open Warm-Up

8:30-8:50 1-5A Girls Warm-Ups

9-10:30 a.m. 1-5A Girls Prelims

10:40-11:20 a.m. 1-5A Girls Finals

• Tickets: GHSA (Georgia) Events and Tickets by GoFan

Wednesday: SWIM ONLY:

• Location: Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center Aquatic Center, 750 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30318
• Bus: The bus departure time will be finalized once warm-up time is determined. It will be sent out Moday. Bus will return after finals.
• Swim Schedule:

7:30 am – 9:20 am – 1-5A Swimming Warmup
9:30 am – 1:00 pm – 1-5A Swimming Prelims
4:30 pm – 6:00 pm –1-3A and 4-5A Swimming Warmup
6:00 pm – 9:30 pm –1-3A and 4-5A Swimming Finals

• NOTE: This will be a LONG day, please plan accordingly. We will not return to Roswell between Prelims and Finals.

FOOD:

• Athletes are responsible for their own breakfast.
• We are asking that all state swimmer’s parents volunteer to help provide snacks, bagels, and drinks for the long day.
• Sign up to send food @ https://centennialswimanddive.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
• Athletes should bring money for lunch. Check out John Lewis Student Center | Tech Dining (gatech.edu) for different available restaurants and menus.
• The team will provide subs for dinner.
• Extra money may be needed for concessions.

PARKING:

• Parking for all personal vehicles and SUV’s can be done in the W10 lot, directly adjacent to the CRC, prepaid parking will be available at Reserve Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Parking | Upcoming Games & Events | ParkMobile. Overflow parking will be available in the W23 lot at 990 State Street, a short walk from the pool.

SWIM PARKA AND FIN RETURN

We request that Parkas be washed in COLD water and LINE DRIED! Please hang. Please rinse off fins.

Parkas and Fins can be brought to the banquet (Wednesday, February 8th) and dropped off at check-in.

Deposit checks will be returned when your swimmer's parka is returned.

If you are unable to return the fins/parka on the date listed above, please email Nancy Kasik [email protected] to make alternate arrangements.

Positions are opening up on the Swim & Dive Board next year, as several of our parents graduate. Please contact President Elizabeth Sergile [email protected] or another Board member if you are interested in serving on the Board next year.
