Thank you to the Cave Family for hosting the Pasta Party last week – a great time was had by all! The season is wrapping up over the next two weeks with Senior Night, State, and the Swim & Dive Banquet. Info below.

PRACTICE

Evening practices continue for non-year-round swimmers who have qualified for State and any others who wish to attend.

GHSA STATE MEET (Tuesday, January 31 (DIVE) and Saturday, February 4 (SWIM))

Athletes should wear the Team Warm-Ups to the Meet. Info for Swim and Dive are listed separately below.

• TICKETS: All tickets must be bought through GoFan. $15. GHSA (Georgia) Events and Tickets by GoFan * Tickets for Prelims and Finals are separate. NOTE: Last year they oversold so not all ticket holders could enter. Consider volunteering to secure a spot at the event!
• VOLUNTEER: Volunteers needed. To sign up for the meet, visit ghssca.com and click on the State Meet Volunteers link 2023 State Meet Volunteer Signup Link to reserve your position. Volunteers get in free and are guaranteed admission! Volunteer slots are first come, first serve.
• Tuesday: DIVE ONLY

  • Dive Schedule:
    • 3-3:45 p.m. Warm-Ups (Boards close to boys only at 3:30 p.m.)
    • 3:45-4:45 p.m. Boys Prelims
    • 4:55-5:25 p.m. Boys Finals
    • 5:25-5:55 p.m. Girls Warm-Ups
    • 5:55-6:55 p.m. Girls Prelims
    • 7:05-7:35 p.m. Girls Finals
• Saturday: SWIM ONLY:
  • Location: Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center Aquatic Center, 750 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30318
  • Swim Schedule:
    • 8:30 am – 10:00 am –Swimming Warmup
    • 10:00 am – 1:00 pm –Swimming Prelims
    • 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm –Swimming Warmup
    • 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm –Swimming Finals
  • NOTE: This will be a LONG day, please plan accordingly. We will not return to Roswell between prelims and Finals.
  • WATCH: Swim Finals will be live streamed on NFHS. Live Stream GHSA Sports | NFHS Network
  • PARKING: Parking for all personal vehicles and SUV’s can be done in the W10 lot, directly adjacent to the CRC, prepaid parking will be available at https://gatech.parkmobile.io/events. Overflow parking will be available in the W23 lot at 990 State Street, a short walk from the pool. On Saturday ONLY, overflow parking will be available in the W2 lot located at 355 Ferst Drive.

SENIOR KNIGHT WINTER SPORTS (Friday, February 3) (SWIM & DIVE)

Come cheer on our Seniors as they are recognized during Senior Knight for Winter Sports at the Knights home basketball game on Friday, February 3. Athletes will be recognized between the Girls’ and Boys’ games. Girls’ game starts at 6 pm. SWIM & DIVE BANQUET – WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8

Please send photos from the swim/dive season for our slideshow to be shown at the Banquet to Ellen Shea [email protected] SENIOR PARENTS! Please send a baby/young photo of your athlete to Ellen for the slideshow.

SWIM PARKA AND FIN RETURN

We request that Parkas be washed in COLD water and LINE DRIED! Please hang. Please rinse off fins.

Parkas and Fins can be dropped off, to Nancy Kasik, at practice on Monday January 30th, beginning at 730pm and Thursday, February 2nd beginning at 7:30pm. Parkas and Fins can also be brought to the banquet (Wednesday, February 8th) and dropped off at check-in.

Deposit checks will be returned when your swimmer's parka is returned.

If you are unable to return the fins/parka on the dates listed above, please email Nancy Kasik [email protected] to make alternate arrangements.
