CHS Swim & Dive - Weekly Bulletin 1-3-23
Greetings Team and Parents,
Happy New Year!! Good luck to all of our athletes this week at the Fulton Country Championship Meet!! And thank you in advance to all of our parents for volunteering to make it a smooth and successful meet!
Below are important dates and information. If you have any questions, please contact a member of the Swim Team Board.

- Friday, January 13th – Team Pasta Party (HOST NEEDED)
- Saturday, January 14th – CHS vs Alpharetta (SWIM ONLY)
- Saturday, January 14th – CHS vs Greater Atlanta Christian (DIVE ONLY)
- Friday, January 20th – 52nd Metro Invitational @ Westminster (DIVE ONLY)
- Saturday, January 21st – 52nd Metro Invitational @ Westminster (SWIM ONLY) (**Note Date Change**)

** NEW** Swimtopia has been updated to allow Swimmers to request 2 individual events. Please help the Coaches by letting them know what you want to swim!
FULTON COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP MEET (Thursday, January 5) (SWIM & DIVE)
- Location: West Gwinnett Park & Aquatic Center, 4488 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Norcross, GA 30071
- Bus will leave CHS at 12 PM. All swimmers and divers attending the meet should plan to ride the bus. Athletes attending the meet are excused from class. Athletes should plan to dismiss after 3rd Period and make their way to the bus for departure. Athletes should wear the Team Warm-Ups on the Bus to the Meet. Athletes must ride the bus home UNLESS they have coordinated with the coaches in advance. Athletes should text parents when leaving meet to plan for pick up time at CHS.
- Meet Times: Dive starts at 2 pm, Swim starts at 5 pm.
- Spectator admission is $8 for adults, **free** for volunteers. Wristbands will be given upon entry to volunteers to access the deck.
- FOOD: Athletes should bring their own lunch on Thursday or $ for concessions. You will not have time to eat at school. Concessions will be available for purchase at the meet (Chick–Fil-A, pizza, drinks, candy, chips and granola bars). The team will provide sub sandwiches for dinner and snacks.
- **Note: This meet has qualifying times. Athletes are encouraged to attend even if they don’t qualify.
***IMPORTANT***PARENTS***VOLUNTEER!!! This is Centennial’s year to host the meet!! We need all hands on deck to make it smooth! Job sign up for volunteers and snack donations are on Swimtopia. We still need Timers, Security, Set Up and Clean Up, and Dive help. Volunteers get in FREE! Dive volunteers check in by 1pm. Timers and Security jobs are available in both 1st half and 2nd half- 1st half needs to check in by 3:45pm and 2nd half needs to check in by 5:45pm.

HOST NEEDED - PASTA PARTY, FRIDAY, JANUARY 13
LAST CALL! Host needed for the January 13 Team Pasta Party! You provide the location, team families provide the food! Thanks for considering! **If there is no host by this Friday, Jan 6, the Pasta Party will be cancelled**
CHS v. ALPHARETTA (Saturday, January 14) (SWIM ONLY)
Athletes should wear the Team Warm-Ups on the Bus to the Meet.
- Warm-up: 10:30 AM Start 11:00 AM
- Location: Dynamo, 5075 Abbots Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30097
- Bus departure time 10 AM. Please arrive before to help load for timely departure!!
Snacks and Timers will be needed! Please check for sign up on Swimtopia. If you sign up for snacks, please send them on the bus with your swimmer. https://centennialswimanddive.swimtopia.com/
GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN DIVE MEET, CHS v. GAC + OTHERS (Saturday, January 14) (DIVE ONLY)
Athletes should wear the Team Warm-Ups to the Meet. There is not a bus for the Dive meet.
