Thank you to the King Family for hosting our Team Holiday party last week, which was a huge success!

Thank you to Jeff Almstedt, Christina Born, Jeffrey Born, Adam Greindl and Rachael King who timed this past weekend - We cannot run these meets without you.

We’re quickly approaching the last stretch for the season. Important dates and information are below. Further information on these events will follow towards the end of break. If you have any questions, please contact a member of the Swim Team Board.

• Thursday, January 6th, Fulton County Championship @ West Gwinnet Park & Aquatic Center (SWIM & DIVE) *entry deadline Thurs. Dec. 30*
• Friday, January 14-Saturday January 15, Athens Meet, Team Trip with Bus & Hotel for Athletes
• Friday, January 21st, Pasta Party
• Saturday, January 22nd, CHS vs Chattahoochee @ Dynamo (SWIM ONLY)
• Wednesday, February 2nd- Saturday, February 5^th, GHSA State Meet @ Georgia Tech (tentative)
• Wednesday, February 16th, Swim & Dive Banquet- 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm @,Country Club of Roswell

WINTER BREAK SWIM PRACTICE

Coach Jacobi will send an email if there will be practice availability over break.

GHSA STATE SWIM & DIVE MEET / QUALIFYING TIMES

Dates for the GHSA State Swim & Dive Meet have not yet been finalized. It’s usually in early February at Georgia Tech, so we anticipate Feb. 2-5. Below are Qualifying Times/Standards to see if your swimmer or diver has qualified.

 Dive Meet State Qualification Standards

1 voluntary (from the voluntary group of the week) with true DD followed by 5 optionals, one from each of the five groups

DD minimum for girls is 11.5 on all 6 dives

DD minimum for boys is 12.0 on all 6 dives

Minimum qualifying score is 190.00 for BOTH boys and girls.

VARSITY INFORMATION

Lettering is at the coaches’ discretion based upon attitude, conduct, participation, and performance. Please see Pages 5-6 of the Swim & Dive Handbook, available in the Members Section of Swimtopia.

TOWELS AND MAGNETS!

CHS Swim and Dive towels and magnets are still available for purchase on Picklejuice. Towels are large, royal blue, Lands End towels, with custom CHS embroidery. Towels are $35.00. Magnets are $5. Purchase 1 or a few! Purchase Here

If purchased online, your towel or magnet will be delivered at the next meet.
