CHS Swim & Dive - Weekly Bulletin 10-26-20

October 26th

Greetings Team and Parents,

We have our first meet on Saturday. The Black & Boo meet is a time trials meet. In a time trials meet, swimmers usually swim most/all events, so they can establish baseline times. Coach Jacobi will enter the athletes in the events he feels are appropriate. This meet will be Halloween themed and we will have some special treats for the swimmers. Unfortunately, spectators are not allowed to attend the meet.

BLACK & BOO TIME TRIALS (Saturday, October 31^st)

Warm-up: 3:00 PM Start: 4:00 PM Swim Atlanta - 5059 Post Rd, Cumming, GA 30040

• Snacks needed! Please sign up on Swimtopia. If you sign up for snacks, please send them with your swimmer on the bus. https://centennialswimanddive.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
• We are awaiting confirmation of the guidelines for swim meets but there will be no spectators allowed at the time trials meet. However, if we need volunteer timers, we will provide an additional sign-up link.
• Stay tuned for an email from Coach Jacobi with bus information and additional meet information!

2020 PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Practices will be at the Roswell Adult Center. 200 Frank Lewis Dr, Roswell, 30075

Practice times: 6:15 am -7:15 am

Varsity- M, W, F JV- T, Th

Swimmers will need to drive all the way to the end of the parking lot no more than 10mph (cops will be in parking lot), and then turn right on the cut through road. The Roswell Adult Aquatic Center will be on the right past the tennis courts.

SPIRIT WEAR

• If your swimmer still needs to pick up fins please contact Rachael ([email protected]) to arrange a pickup or they can be picked up at the Black and Boo meet.
• Parkas will be available at the Black and Boo meet as well. Please note, parkas are "rented" for the season and require a $100 check as a deposit, which will be returned at the end of the season when parkas are turned in. Please be sure to have a $100 deposit check (made out to CHS Swim & Dive) available if your swimmer wants a parka.
• Shirts, caps and warmups have been ordered and will be distributed shortly!
